Welcome to the Association of Energy Engineers Central Illinois Chapter!
The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), founded in 1977, is a nonprofit professional society of over 11,000 members in 78 countries. The mission of AEE is “to promote the scientific and educational interests of those engaged in the energy industry and to foster action for Sustainable Development.
AEE offers a full array of informational outreach programs including seminars (live and internet based), conferences, journals, books, and certification programs.
AEE’s network of 71 local chapters meets regularly to discuss regional issues. AEE’s roster of corporate members is a veritable “who’s who” from the commercial, industrial, institutional, governmental, energy services, and utility sectors.

Notes about our speaker:
Speaker: Mariana Egea-Casalduc is an ORISE Science, Technology, and Policy Fellow with the Department of Energy in the Building Technologies Office (BTO) and serves as the Healthcare Sector Lead within the Better Buildings Initiative. Mariana received her Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from American University in 2019. Before coming to BTO, Mariana was an associate at a DC-based global investment management firm.
Topic: Summary of Better Buildings Program Tools. Update on the renovated Better Buildings COVID-19 Resource page, and summary of virtual discussion series on building operations during the pandemic and infectious disease mitigation strategies in collaboration with NREL.
